RIP Sally Ride

The first American woman in space, Sally Ride, died yesterday from pancreatic cancer. She was only 61 years old. Sally was a physicist, and went to space twice aboard Space Shuttle Challenger. She also helped investigate both the Challenger and Colombia tragedies. Sally worked hard to teach and encourage students, (particularly females), about science, engineering, math, & technology with her company, Sally Ride Science. She was a true inspiration, and will surely be missed.
